SnapNova

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026  ·  Applies to the SnapNova Chrome Extension

SnapNova does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything runs entirely on your device.

1. Overview

SnapNova ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that allows users to capture screenshots of web pages, annotate them, and export them locally. This privacy policy explains what data the Extension accesses, how it is used, and confirms that no data leaves your device.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

SnapNova does not collect, transmit, or share any of the following:

3. Local Storage Only

Screenshot images are temporarily stored in chrome.storage.local on your own device solely to pass the image from the capture process to the editor. This data never leaves your browser and is automatically removed after the editor loads the image.

Watermark settings (text, position, opacity) are also saved locally in chrome.storage.local as a convenience so your preferences are remembered between sessions. This data stays on your device only.

4. Permissions Explained

5. No Third Parties

SnapNova does not use any analytics services, advertising networks, or third-party APIs. No data is sold or shared with any third party under any circumstances.

6. No Remote Code

All code runs locally from within the extension package. SnapNova does not load or execute any JavaScript from external servers.

7. Children's Privacy

SnapNova does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data is collected at all, there is no risk of collecting children's data.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
